6 metal bars, 30mm + A few shelves with +-30mm hole = a book rack with movable shelves.
metal with varnish, beech plywood with osmo oil.
So I wanted to make a table I could extend, but I couldn’t find a good place to put the extension parts.
So I made the extension into a light..
The lights remain on the ceiling, the frame comes down to hold the table leaf.
The table leaf itself are 2 paintings hanging on the wall. (Still need to be painted tho)
Light info: LED strip 60LED/m
130LUX at 1m50. (70W Halogen = 130LUX, 60W incandescence light bulb = 80LUX)
V1: pinewood, face side visible
V2: pinewood, most like the original
V3: oregon pine, attempting something different: planing the wood into a V shape
V4: beech wood, again with the V shape, making the V without a template is hard, you can see the lines of the V not coming together nicely on the back.
This chair also contains a flattened backside, so the V doesn’t go all the way up to the top of the backside (making another V shape in the back)
V5: oak, with the V shape, also V shape on the whole backside (I forgot to plane this side of…)
I had this idea about a coffee table with 2 levels, where the lower level would be hanging from supports coming from the higher level..
Through several iterations I came to this:
It was hard to glue this one together…
(Sipo mahogany)
Ayous/abachi and stainless steel
The black wood is burned ayous.
Just playing with connection…
